Welcome to Trombly's Hope

Honoring Kyle's legacy by empowering firefighters, supporting families, and strengthening communities through compassion and action.

A Message From Kathy Trombly

My beloved son, Kyle, the youngest of 7, was born on August 2, 1990, at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Kyle passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the intersection of Highway 72 and Indiana doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle. He was enroute to Coal Creek Canyon, a truly picturesque and scenic ride, when his journey was unexpectedly interrupted, and a new journey began. With deep gratitude, I thank God Kyle did not suffer but went home to be with the Lord in glory without delay. Kyle had a profound love for his family and friends. His warm eyes and priceless smile reflected his joyful spirit!

Kyle had many interests and approached life with enthusiasm. Growing up in Colorado, he enjoyed everything this state had to offer, camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking, golfing, and motorcycling, which were often accompanied by friends or family. He enjoyed life to the fullest and prided himself on his obsessive attention to detail, and his relentless pursuit of knowledge that stemmed from an aversion to not knowing how to do something, motivating him to master any subject or project he encountered. A man of faith, he lived life abundantly and was generous in his service to his community, family, friends, and anyone in need.

Kyle attended Red Rocks Community College, receiving his Associate's degree in Fire Science in May of 2010. He subsequently earned a bachelor's degree in Fitness and Exercise Science at University of Northern Colorado, he held an internship at a cancer center in Greeley, Colorado helping those following treatment to regain their strength and energy to live a celebratory life.

He commenced his firefighting career as a volunteer at the Fairmount Fire Department while attending RRCC, he served with the Gilpin County Fire, then was accepted into the Arvada Fire Department as a volunteer on May 5, 2011, and officially became a career firefighter on March 10, 2016. Throughout his tenure, Kyle was assigned to Arvada Fire Stations 7, 6, 4, and 1. Kyle held the Honor Guard in high esteem and sincerely valued his service in this distinguished unit. He devoted a decade of service at Bandimere Speedway, where he operated within the EMS unit and managed the racers at the starting line. Kyle championed the values of education, physical health, and the quest for spiritual and personal growth. With a lighthearted approach, he frequently inspired and encouraged others, often stating, "Don’t Be Sloppy" or "Get Some Work In."

Kyle was deeply cherished by all who had the honor of knowing him. He embodied an optimistic and uplifting spirit and showed great compassion for individuals in need. He was dedicated to assisting others, whether providing support, offering guidance, suggesting small enhancements, or simply recognizing commendable efforts with a warm smile. He generously supported numerous charities and individuals in need, both emotionally and financially.

Our children are a gift from the Lord, (Psalm 127:3), and I was blessed to be his mother!

Meet The Team

I was raised in Colorado, where I also brought up my children, and I now take pleasure in the company of my three oldest grandchildren who are growing up nearby. This stunning state has offered me countless experiences, including hiking, biking, camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and many opportunities to capture architecture and the diverse landscapes, featuring its majestic mountains, serene rivers, and tranquil lakes. I have documented the breathtaking beauty of snow-capped peaks, the refreshing rains during warm summer afternoons, and the abundance of floral and fruit displays in my own backyard.

I have traveled across continents and discovered that the people and cultures are incredibly generous and hospitable. Sharing the gospel throughout the nations has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I support and promote Youth With A Mission, which has a presence in 2500 locations worldwide. I highly encourage you to attend a Discipleship Training School (DTS) and participate in outreach as soon as you can find the time and make the commitment. You will not regret it!

Following the passing of my son, Kyle, a team from the Arvada Fire Department sought out organizations and initiated a 'Go Fund Me' campaign to assist my family and me with the immediate funeral costs. It's important to understand that off-duty deaths do not come with any benefits from their employer. Consequently, those expenses were taken care of by external sources. With deep appreciation, I feel compelled to give back and offer support in case another family faces a similar tragedy.

With profound appreciation, I want to express my gratitude, "Thank you immensely for your generosity!"

Why Our Community Trusts Trombly’s Hope

We have provided support to a widow whose home was going into foreclosure, Trombly's HOPE covered the cost to get the house out of tax debt. Support was sent to missionaries Amelo, Mission Arvada, YWAM; Katrin Busskamp, Bumaa, Bubara.

"It's so encouraging to hear from you. A few days ago, I prayed with Anke, Elias, and Eegii about our outreach. My prayer was for God to provide the outreach fee before I leave, so I wouldn't have to worry. I see this support you sent as clear confirmation from Him. It's truly amazing, and I thank you very much for your open heart. It means so much to me!

I can feel and see His goodness running after me.

Sending big Hug 🤗"

"I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks for your recent donation to YWAM Tyler and our global ministries and missionaries. Your generosity enables us to continue spreading the gospel.

Just last week, we received incredible testimony from graduates of our School of Strategic Missions. They shared about their experiences leading a team to a remote Mongolian province as part of our ongoing Bible distribution project. During their journey, they encountered an elderly grandmother who, after hearing the Good News, accepted Christ into her life. What followed was truly miraculous: her entire family, spanning multiple generations, also embraced Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

This is just one example of the impact your support makes possible. Through your partnership, we can reach even the most remote corners of the world with the message of hope and salvation. Please join us in prayer as we work alongside YWAM Mongolia to establish churches and provide ongoing discipleship to those who have recently come to faith.

Once again, thank you for your prayers and generosity. May God bless you abundantly for your commitment to advancing His kingdom.

With deep gratitude,
